This month we look at getting your horse back into shape now that the warmer weather is here, as well as controlling liver fluke in sheep and cattle - preventative treatment in late winter/early spring is important in fluke areas as it removes all remaining fluke and reduces pasture contamination with fluke eggs. Whether autumn or spring calving, the timing of calving in relation to nutrition and the spread of calving are other important factors to consider in managing a beef breeding herd.
