Kody

He just makes everyone's day.
Full of love and smiles (as his picture shows) he's generous with his cuddles and attention.
Kody has a fetish for stinky tennis balls & his favourite times of day are during his walks when he gets a chance to steal other dogs tennis balls.
Though Kody barks terribly when the doorbell rings, it's only to then greet visitors with a toy ready for play. His notion of burying his bone is covering it with a towel! We couldn't imagine life without our sweet little boy!"

Ade the Cockatoo

 "Hi. My name's Ade and I'm a Greater Sulphur Crested Cockatoo. I'm going to be five years old in September!
My mummy Sarah got me when I was just two months old and I didn't even have all my feathers yet.
Now mummy and me are best friends and I don't like sharing her with people (especially her boyfriend!).
I love chewing things, climbing, playing with toys and having a cuddle with mummy. My favourite treats are cheese and peanut paste but I don't get those too often!
Mummy puts me in the big trees in our yard so I can explore, keep my beak in good working order and get exercise. I love talking and whistling and doing tricks. I like to say, "Hello, whatcha doing? How ya going? What's that?" and I imitate dogs barking and the phone ringing. I'm lots of fun! Love Ade."

 "This is our beautiful little wire-haired Jack Russell, Jessie. She is 6 years old.
Jessie is such a happy, energetic girl who's idea of a great day is a morning sleep-in followed by a morning nap in the sun. A few hours exploring the yard, chasing magpies and chewing toys, then a night-time cuddle with Don & I in front of the TV.
Jessie is such a 'people' dog who loves to have people around her all the time. She enjoys trips in the car, BBQ's and the occasional dip in the surf. Jessie is especially good at soccer and most who try, have a hard time trying to get the ball from her, she's GREAT!!
We rescued Jessie from an abusive home just over 5 years ago and even though she came from difficult circumstances, she's loved and trusted us from the very moment we set eyes on each other. We have been blessed with her love and her company ever since! Jessie is truly a member of our family and a very special part of our lives and our hearts......
We love you Jessie!!!!"

Angell

 "This in my little Angell (with a double L because she is twice as good), enjoying a rest on the sand after a run on the beach.
Angel is the sunshine that starts my day, and the Wag, Wiggle and Wobble that greets me after a long day at work.
Angel has adapted to being an inner city dog, and loves our walks in the parks... meeting and greeting all the other puppies and their human pets.
She shares her home with my husband and I, and our other children Conar, Chance & Boo our three Comical Cats."

Ruby the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

 "Hi, my name is Ruby.
I'm a one and half year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
Mummy calls me Ruby because I'm a little redhead.
I'm energetic, happy and loving. I love people, other dogs and cats. Most importantly, I love attention and company, my favorite thing in the whole world is to be with my mummy at all time. I enjoy cuddles, kisses etc. My favourite place to sleep is on mummy's lap - I'm a true lapdog.
What, more about me? Ummm.. well, the most frequent phrase I get to hear is " How cute"! I suppose it's something nice, hehe...
Well, I can't say I'm a fashion victim, but I have a hell lot of clothes, well to be honest, I love wearing different things from time to time, and I do pose in them...
I do have my little shortcomings, well -- since I follow my mummy around everywhere, I tend to sneak into the shower with her without her noticing, and at times, she didn't even realize I was there, so ... I got to have nice bathes. Did I mention, my ancestors were water dogs, so I have this thing for water in my gene. :)
Well, that's enough about me, gonna take a little nap now, bye for now."

Libby the cat

"Libby hates being cooped up, so was glad to move out of the RSPCA shelter and in with us.
She was 2 when she came to take charge of our lives, although she was a bit timid for a long time.
Now, her personality has come out and we have a jungle cat who loves to play games in her catgrass, go on patrol around the yard and laze in the sun, just like any other tiger!"

Pippin the Pug

 "Pippi is a 12-week-old Pug.
She was given to me as a surprise gift from my partner. I suppose he got sick of how much I used to tell him I wanted a pug.
Even though Pippi was the runt of the litter she has a big personality. For a little girl dog she's a real ruffian.
She loves the yard, however I can't leave her alone there as yet as she is so small I'm scared she'll be mistaken for a nice juicy rat by some of the birds in our area.
Pippi is the best, she loves a play, a cuddle and she's a real ruff-and-tumble kind a gal (just last weekend she was taking on a German Shephard! Lucky it was a friendly one)."

He was rescued from an animal shelter and is now a fully qualified Assistance Dog.
Blayd loves coming to work and shopping with me, as well as walks on the beach and playing in the park with his dog friends.

She is an 8 year old Pomeranian that I adopted from the lost dogs home in Melbourne last year.
She was unwanted by her owner. That's their loss because I can't imagine life without her. She is always happy to see me when I come home from work. I adore her."

He is a 1 year old boxer and true to boxer form is full of personality!
His most favourite thing is to be in the company of others. He is a true boxer... energetic, playfull, and can at times be moody!
He has an adorable face that at times is just too hard to say "no" to!"

Taffy

 "We adopted Taffy after her elderly owner passed away.
Since then she has brought a lot of laughter into our life.
Taffy used to be show cat, so she is a bit aloof. We joke that she has a 'supermodel attitude'.
When her routine is interrupted she shows us how annoyed she is in cute ways. When I vacuum the house Taffy sulks by sitting in a half empty pot in the backyard, refusing to come inside until she is good and ready!!

Brocky the Husky x German Shepherd

 "Brocky is a handsome Husky x German Shepherd.
He is our Best Friend. He shakes and sits and will always come when he is called.
If he is in the backyard, all we have to say is 'Bed' and he runs straight up onto the verandah and into the laundry to go to bed.
He scared us recently as he was bleeding from his nose, however our vet completed an extreme procedure with such care in the event to make him better - and he is now better :-) Thankyou so very much."

Zuri, Abella and Odette the guinea pigs

 "Zuri, Abella and Odette are three 10- month-old sows.
I adopted them from the CARE Rescue when they were around 8 months.
They were quite shy as they weren't handled much by their previous owner before surrendered to the rescue. But now they are now friendly and happy balls of fun!
Abella is a golden agouti and is the most adventurous of the bunch. Zuri is a black/gold/white abyssinian and is the shyest, but is a beautiful girl and is now almost always the first one to welcome me when I come home. Odette is mostly black with a bit of gold, white on her face and two pretty white paws and a chubby girl who loves to have a doze every now and then."

 "Hi my name is Chico and I am 8 years old.
I live indoors except when I go on holidays to Nonna's house, where I am allowed to run free in the backyard.
This is a photo of me in her yard. I like to watch birds and occasionally they talk to me.
I don't like flying on planes, getting my nails clipped, nor do I like going to the vet (although they are always very kind and patient with me).
My favourite hobbies include sleeping, playing with my pet rat and of course eating! I think I'm pretty special cause I know I make mummy very happy."

It's been so long since I've had a pet, we're just so happy to have her in our lives.
She has learnt to go for a walk with her harness on and knows what 'walkies' means,
and occasionally takes herself for a shower. We are hoping to adpot a friend for her soon ;-)"

Star the Anglo Nubian Goat

 "Moon & Star is a Pure Breed Anglo Nubian Goat.
She is a bottle feed baby, as she was one of triplets it was easier to give her a bottle.
She is called Star was short.
At the moment I'm feeding 8 kids and they all act like dogs. They come when called and follow you everywhere. She is special as she is the smallest and youngest. Goats make a great pet!!!!!!"

Tessa the Staffy x

 "Like most people, my husband and I went to the RSPCA 'just to have a look' at the dogs available.
My husband was set on getting a staffy but we didn’t know if we were ready just yet.
We arrived around 11am. As we wandered up and down the aisles, we saw many dogs in need of good homes. One in particular caught our attention. A small, staffy cross who-knows-what.
As we walked by her, she wandered from the back of the kennel, paraded herself past us and returned to the place where she was laying down. It seemed as if she had done the whole 'please take me home today' routine so many failed times before that she just gave up.
This immediately caught my interest but we still weren't sure. As we left, we asked the receptionist about this placid pooch. She informed us that this dog was a wonderful puppy but had been there for too long. She was scheduled to be put down that afternoon unless someone was to put a hold on her, giving her 2 more days.
My husband and I still weren’t convinced we could handle it, but decided she needed a few more days. As we got into the car, we looked at each other and immediately knew she was the dog for us. As we drove away, we called the shelter and said that we would take her. We picked her up that afternoon and have never looked back.
Tessa is a solid member of our family and our lives would not be as full without her. She is the best dog I've ever known and I'm so thankful that we rescued her. I feel sorry for whoever lost her or gave her away because they missed out on the sweetest, most loving and fun dog in the world."
